Apparently I Don't Suck

So, just wanted to let you know I got into Kellogg. This is actual confirmation I am b-school worthy. I've always felt like I had this atypical advantage getting into Chicago GSB for reasons I have chosen not to elaborate upon, but getting into Kellogg is confirmation that there actually is something to the ol' Redwolf. Now I'm in the fortunate position of actually having to choose between schools. It hasn't really set in yet because I think I'm still envying myself :-). How the hell did I get so lucky? Anyway, thanks to all of you who've supported me throughout this process.

I still have yet to interview with Columbia and haven't gotten an invite for Stanford (yet), so this "applicant" thing is still not quite over. It's only a matter of time though. I'd also like to give a shout out to BrotherJimmy who has been facing the decision I am now fortunate to be facing of choosing between the GSB and Kellogg. We've been discussing the pros and cons of each given our similar short term career goals, and he's illuminated aspects of both schools I hadn't fully considered. Basically, he's made it harder for me :-). Anyway, I'll be attending DAK II and will hopefully get some straight answers to the questions that remain. I'll let you know how it goes!

Good luck to all still waiting for decisions!

Congratulations!! That is sooo exciting! K and Chi now! My, my - decisions, decisions to be made! :-)

But for now, go out and get drunk! lol. You totally deserve it, wolf! This is AWESOME!

For my J interview, yes, it's interesting the comments I've received. :-) I didn't even write about my own feelings on the interview. At first her bluntness caught me off guard, but I actually appreciated that she challenged me to think harder. (This is what Chicago preaches too!) I probably learned more from this interview than others.

Fantastic! You've established that you will be in Chicago - one decision you don't have to make. On the other hand, good luck with Stanford and more confusion ;-)

That's great news - congratulations! Maybe I'll catch you at an upcoming installment of Day at Kellogg - though for that to happen they would have to give me some kind of acceptance notification, which thus far has not been forthcoming. Being in at 2 fantastic schools must really put your mind at ease and boost your confidence for your remaining interviews. You're money, Wolfy.

Just noticed you're not on my Blogs I Read list. Consider this oversight corrected. - MBAJ

Wolf, you are hilarious. How much do your consultant fees go? Because I think I just found the perfect person to write my biography. Unfortunately, it'll be a quick project because it'll only take 1 page.

"IWMI was a nobody - trying to be a somebody.

One day she exploded from spontaneous combustion.

    She died a nobody.

RIP
IWMI

    The End.

Author: Redwolf (A Somebody - with K and Chi admits, babyyyy!!)"

The reading of IWMI's will: "...and for Redwolf I leave all my 'crazy fake shit' from the fateful Shanghai trip and the shrines my kids erected to cover up the truth when they discovered their mother would die in shame... Amen."
